HAVRE DE GRACE DECOY MUSEUM TOURS

The Decoy Museum offers a variety of programs for groups of all ages.  Please call the Museum at least 2 weeks in advance to make reservations.

SCHOOL MUSEUM VISITS

The Decoy Museum offers a variety of interactive, grade/age appropriate programs for schoolchildren in grades pre-K through 8. These programs are designed to introduce students to this region’s rich waterfowling heritage and its contribution to the folk art of decoy carving, and range in length from 20 minutes to an hour.

To receive our group discount, groups must have at least 10 students and reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

ADULT MUSEUM TOURS

Group tours are available by reservation for adults and high school students. A docent will guide your group through the museum’s galleries, supplementing exhibit material with anecdotes and additional information. Many of our guides are carvers, hunters, founders of the museum, and life-long residents of Havre de Grace who treat visitors to colorful glimpses into the history of decoys and waterfowl hunting in the Upper Chesapeake Region. Organizations can choose from a brief introductory tour or a full tour, and tours can be tailored to the particular needs of your group. The museum can accommodate up to 40 individuals per group, and tour participants receive reduced admission to the museum.

To receive our group tour discount, groups need to be made up of at least 10 adults and reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance for a non-guided tour and 3 weeks in advance for a guided tour.
